Mrs. Shafer

Mrs. Jessie Shafer

I am the Agriculture Instructor for the Jr. High and Sr. High School. I am delighted to have your students in my class this year. I am looking forward to a very successful year and I know yo are as well. I have high expectations for your students and will do all that I can to help them archive those expectations. It is my goal to provide all students with an educationally challenging yet fun experience in my classroom.
The Agriculture courses will be very demanding and challenging, however, there will be limited homework assignments as I feel that it is important for students to have time away from their schoolwork in order for them to be well rounded and achieve success. My only expectation is that all work assigned is completed with effort . Of course all students do not work at the same pace ; there fore , whether or not your student get his or her work done in class has no effect on their grade . If your student does not complete an assignment in class, they will be required to complete it at home.
In  addition I will be assigning projects in various subjects throughout the school year. Projects are to be completed at home/outside of class. Your help and support will be not only make your student more successful in school this year but will instill good study habits that will last a lifetime.
I have extremely high expectations of all my students and for that I will not apologize. I am asking for your help to maintain those expectations by checking with your son/daughter periodically to make sure that his/her work is being done. I am available to help students during my prep periods, after school, and during academic period. If you would like me to notify you of test dates and or update you on your student's progress, or have any questions do not hesitate to contact me at my school email and phone, at any point during the year.

Thank You,
Mrs. Shafer
