Turkeyfoot Guidance Mission Statement
The mission of the Turkeyfoot Valley Area Guidance Department is to provide a developmental and comprehensive K-12 guidance program that meets the academic, career and personal-social needs of the students so that they will be college and career ready and choose a become lifelong learners

We believe that :

  • Every student can succeed, regardless of his/her learning style
  • Every student deserves a learning environment where he/she can achieve academic success, mature socially, become a productive and responsible contributor to society, and chose a rewarding career.
  • Data should be used to enhance learning and provide academic and career opportunities for every student.
  • School, home and community partnering together will result in positive growth for all stakeholders
  • We are professional whose desire is to uphold ethical standards in serving our students, our school and our community.

In addition to the basic high school curriculum, Turkeyfoot offers Dual Enrollment classes in partnership with Allegheny College of Maryland, Mt, Aloysius, Penn Highlands, and Indiana University of PA to juniors and seniors. We also offer a large variety of online classes which typically serve as elective classes for eighth to twelfth grades.
